EMDR for Clinical Practice

Erica Bonham is a certified EMDRIA-approved consultant, specializing in attachment and somatic-focused EMDR. Getting certified in EMDR therapy will not only help enhance your professional identity and help you get clients, but it will enhance your clinical skill and ability to work with clients in an incredibly deep way. In addition to the somatic and attachment-focused lens, Erica is intentional about folding in a collective healing lens and addressing trauma related to system oppression. Erica is also trained in Internal Family Systems and infuses EMDR consultation with parts work as this is often necessary for clients, especially for more complex trauma.

Getting certified in EMDR therapy will support your professional identity, enhance your clinical skill and ability to work with clients in an incredibly deep way. 

Previous Therapists Erica has worked with have expressed feeling much more confident in their clinical skill and their ability to go deeper with clients. They feel that after consultation, they feel less imposter syndrome and feel that their clients are making much more powerful shifts. Erica takes a both/and approach honoring the importance of the basic EMDR protocol AND embracing the messiness of being human and learning more of the “art” of EMDR.

EMDIRA requires 20 hours of consultation for certification. At least 10 hours must be individual consultation and 10 can be group consultation. You will also need to have at least 50 sessions of EMDR therapy with at least 25 clients. Fees

Erica’s currently hourly EMDR consultation fee is $180.

You can also find a colleague with whom you can do an EMDR Certification Package. We can meet in person or from anywhere in the country on ZOOM. This requires 2 clinicians to commit to the full 20 hours. We will meet once a month for 2 hours per session. This way, you each get one hour of individual and one hour of group every month. We can meet more often if your caseload is providing enough practice to make consultation worthwhile. I require at least 2 videos to demonstrate your skills as a practitioner. If you cannot find clients to video tape, you can do a “mock” session with your fellow consultee.

2-Person Packages
Requires 2 people to commit to the full 20 hours

• $1700 per person if paid in full (BEST DEAL!!! This brings the price for consultation down to $80 per hour)
• Two payments of $875 per person (first payment is due at the beginning of consultation, the next half way through)
• Three payments of $600 per person (first payment due at the beginning of consultation, next payment due two months later and so on)
• You can also choose to add on the advanced trainings for $100 each when you buy a package.
